PRIVACY POLICY

This policy explains how the Eldevar Online operator collects and uses information when you use the website, launcher, game, accounts, and related services.

1. Information collected

  • Account: email address, display name, password hash, verification state, legal-policy versions accepted, account status, and login/security timestamps. Plaintext passwords and plaintext recovery codes are not stored.
  • Game: characters, progression, inventory, social relationships, chat or reports you submit, gameplay events, and enforcement history.
  • Technical: IP address, device/launcher version, request and server logs, crash or diagnostic information you choose to provide, and anti-abuse/security signals.
  • Website: basic hosting logs. The current site does not use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

2. Why information is used

Information is used to create and secure accounts, deliver the game, save progress, provide support, send transactional verification/recovery email, detect abuse and cheating, maintain reliability, enforce the Terms, and comply with law. We do not use account email for marketing unless you separately opt in.

3. Service providers and disclosures

Infrastructure providers process data for hosting, databases, content delivery, security, and transactional email. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect players or the Service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

4. Retention and security

Account and game data are retained while the account is active and as reasonably needed for security, dispute resolution, backups, and legal obligations. Expired one-time account tokens are routinely deleted; reusable sessions expire or are revoked after a password reset. We use access controls, encrypted transport, restricted database roles, and signed software updates, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

5. Choices and rights

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information, and may object to or restrict certain processing where applicable. Some information may be retained when required for security or legal obligations. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify account ownership before fulfilling a request.

6. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and they may not create accounts. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required parental consent, we will delete it. A parent or guardian may contact the privacy address below.

7. International use and changes

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by service providers. Applicable privacy rights remain available. Material policy changes receive a new effective version and notice through the website or launcher as appropriate.
